Services-Cataracts.jpgA cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision. The development of cataracts is usually a very gradual process. Many people are unaware that they have cataracts because the changes in their vision are so gradual. Having cataracts is often compared to looking through a foggy window or through the dirty lens of a camera. Cataracts may cause a variety of visual changes, including blurred vision, difficulty with glare (often with bright sun or automobile headlights while driving at night), and dulled color vision. Once a cataract has become mature reducing your vision to less than 20/40 surgery can be performed to remove the cataract.
